Peacefully at the SAH-General Site with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Rushworth. Loving mother of Fred (Jean), Robert (Betty) and Jane Martynuck (Stan). Stepmother of Patricia Edmonds. Proud grandma of Erin (Travis), Marguerite (Adam), Alisa (Kenny), Alexander, Ben, Blake and Treena. Great grandma of Keltie, Aylah and Rachelle. Dear sister of Linda Harrison (Mike) and predeceased by Winnifred Brayley (late Austin), Victoria Agnew (late Ross) and Noreen Murray (late Lennox). Elleda will be sadly missed by her special cousin Byron Rains. Elleda graduated from Hamilton General Hospital as a registered nurse in 1943. She dedicated her life to patient care until her retirement as Administrator at Van Daele Manor in 1984. Mom’s presence will be greatly missed by the staff and residents at the Great Northern Retirement Home.
