Peacefully on Friday October 29th,Gearard Ruddy passed away at the Sault Area Hospital,after suffering a lengthy illness with emphysema.Gearad is survived by his sister Mary(Maurice)Palmer of Winnipeg Manitoba.Also his many nieces and nephews of Winnipeg.he was predeceasedby both his parents,Jack and Mary Ruddy.Also a sister,Alice.Gerard was born and raised in the Sault area,where he lived all his life.Gerard had a love for country music and played the guitar.He was a kind soul and will always be remembered for his unforgettable laugh.Gerard spent the last of his years at Northern Nursing Home,where he was happy and met many friends.Visitation will be held at Arthur Funeral Home between 7-9p.m.on Friday November 5th.Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 10a.m.at Arthur Funeral Home.Special thanks to the staff at Sault Area Hospital,Northern Nursing Home and especially Don Barill.He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary of Winnipeg."Love cannot be forgotten.It lives forever."
