Joseph Roy who passed away at Golden Birches
Terrace Long Term Care Residence, Blind River,
Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the age of 73. Beloved
husband of Marguerite (Ippersiel). Predeceased by
his parents Damase Roy and Arlina (Bordeleau), and
wife Claire (Proulx), mother of his children:
Nicole Merritt (Peter), Rachelle Sousa (Filipe),
Jerome (JJ) (Jennifer), Claude, Jean-Marc
(Laurie), Gerald (Claire), Carole Reader (Phil),
14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Predeceased by one stepson Daniel Trudeau.
Survived by 4 step-children: Camille (Denise),
Michelle Caibaiosai (Bill), Ghislain
(Viviane), Richard (Christine), 6 step
grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.
Predeceased by brothers Emile, Gilbert, and
Marcel. Survived by his brothers and sisters:
Adelard (Yvette), Joseph (Norma), Margaret,
Simonne Seguin (Henri-Paul), Noella Miller (Don),
Marie (friend Jerry), Monique, John (Bunny) and
many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held
Friday March 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to
9:00 p.m. at Menard Funeral Home, Blind River. The
funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19
at 11:00 a.m. at Paroisse Ste-Famille, Blind
River, Father Bernard Legault officiating.
Internment Hillside Cemetery, Blind River. A
specil thank you to Dr. Shamas and the staff at
the Golden Birches for their compassionate care in
our family's time of need. Donations may be made
to the Golden Birches Terrace Residence Council.
