Peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Yvette (nee Comeau) for 54 years. Loving father of Diane Roy, Denise Lacroix (Michel), Robert Roy (Lisa) and Colette Chiarello (Michael). Cherished pépére of Rachel Lacroix (Dustin Rising), Justin and Nicolas Lacroix, Katherine and Lindsay Roy, Mathieu and Daniel Chiarello. Predeceased by his parents Damase and Lina Roy. Dear brother of Joe Roy (Norma), Marguerite Roy, Simonne Séquin (Henri-Paul), Noëlla Miller (Don), Louis Roy (Anna), Marie Roy (Gerry), Monique Roy and John Roy (Bunny). Predeceased by his brothers Roland (wife Marguerite), Emil, Gilbert and Marcel Roy. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass celebrated at Paroisse Ste.-Marie-du-Sault on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 12 noon. Rev. Lawrence Maduewesi, Rev. Norman Fortier and Rev. Jean Vézina officiating.
