With his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the
Sault Area Hospital General Site at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Marian.
Loving father of John (Mary), Brian (Cheryl), Versa Wilson (Dave) and Glen (Jody).
Special Dad to Rick, Connie, Darlene and Marc. Loving Grandpa of Mike (Mirella) and
Michelle (Scott). He will be remembered always as Papa to Adrienne, Holly, Nathan,
Alyssa, Joshua, Jonathon, Rachelle, Jeff, Kevin, Joseph, Jeff, Beth and Lindsey.
Great-grandpa of Kyle, Lauren, Colin, Aiden and Riley. Son of the late Ray and Daisy
Rowat. Dear brother of Marie Nokes (Jim) and Neil (Edna). Predeceased by his sisters
Betty Stone, Minerva Rains and Edith Rowat and brothers Percy and Bob.
Brother-in-law of Bessie McEdwards, Patricia Trumble and Jim Thomson (Patricia).
Predeceased by Linda Evans, Alice Stanton, Rose McFarlane, Grace Carey, Betty Emery,
Florence Burge and Harvey Thomson. Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his many
nieces, nephews and the countless friends who were like family. Friends may call at
the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 7-9
pm. Funeral service will be held at the New Apostolic Church (51 Centre St.) on
Friday, November 7, 2008 at 7 pm. Bishop Neil Jansen officiating. Cremation to
follow. Interment Richards Landings Cemetery. Memorial donations to the New
Apostolic Church Foreign Extension Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
