It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert (Bert) Roussell on March 12, 2006 at the Sault Area Hospital (General) in his 77th year. Husband, best friend and soulmate of Alecta (nee Deevey) for 48 years. Loving father of Deanna Rowe (Ryan), papa to Owen and Kaily. Dear brother of Lorne (Toots), Lionel (Windy), (Yvette), Marion St. Jules (Louis), Donald (Shirley). Brother-in-law to Phyllis Deevey, Winnie Stabenow (Harry), Edward Deevey (late Marg), Floyd Deevey (Greta), Phillip Deevey (Mary), Cathy Holmes (Chuk). Special relative and friend to the Schryer, Deevey and Russell families and special cousin to the Chaluts of Flint, MI. Known as "uncle Bert" to all. Will also be missed by his many godchildren, nieces and nephews. Bert was actively involved in the Knights of Columbus in the 3rd and 4th degree, the Elks Lodge, the Dart League and the Royal Canadian Legion. Bert is a veteran of the Korean War, having serves as Corporal in the Canadian Army. Friends may call at O'Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home, corner of Cathcart and St. James streets, Wednesday March 15th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass and committal service Thursday March 16th at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Arden St., at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Ambeault officiating. Cremation followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the Diabetes Society or the Elk's Oncology Van would be appreciated. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are requested to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion service for their late comrade Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Members of Elks Lodge #341 are requested to assemble at the funeral home for a memorial to their late brother at 7:00 p.m. Members of Superior Assembly 4th degree Knights of Columbus are requested to assemble at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. to pay their respects to their late brother At the going down of the sun, And in the morning, We will remember them.
