Peacefully, with family members at her bedside at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Violet Rouse. Eileen will be missed by her brothers August (Netty) and Glynn. She was predeceased by her brothers Bob (Mary), Norman (Deina) and sisters Glynnice Tonon (late Louie), Mary Ryckman (late Stan) and Bernice Saunders (late Les). She leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. Eileen was the Postmaster of the Goulais River P.O. for the past forty nine years and was anticipating her fifty years of service and retirement in May of this year. She was a dedicated supporter and life-time member of the Goulais River United Church. The family wishes to thank the devoted nurses at the Sault Area Hospital and a special thank you to Doctors Allen and Spadafora. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 9:00 p.m. with Mr. Thom McDonough officiating. Spring interment at the Goulais River Cemetery.
