Surrounded by all her family, she peacefully went to heaven at the age of 77 on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at the Sault Area Hospital. She was loved and treasured by her daughter Linda and her favourite son-in-law Andy. Godmother and Grandmother, she was the adored and cherished “shopping Gramma” of Journey. Grandmother to Jennifer, Nicole and Samantha. Godmother to Mike Robinson. Jean was the daughter of the late Robert and late Marie. Dearest sister of Agnes (John), Velma, late Robert (late SueAnn), Cathy (late Regis), late Adelene (late Calvin), late Henry (Debbie), Hilda (Fred) and Harold (Laura). Special auntie to many nieces and nephews whom she always welcomed with open arms. She loved her visits with family so she could keep updated on all the happenings “I heard it through the grapevine.” She enjoyed life “every year is a good year.” Journey was her pride and joy with every breath she took, right to the very end. She put much love into her cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting. Kind, giving, loving, and thoughtful are just a few words that describe her heart and soul. We say thank you to the ICU staff at SAH and Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services (Lisa, Denise, Renee) for their compassion and care. A private family cremation and service will take place at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel, followed by a mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Garden River celebrated by Father Daniele Muscolino. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services or ARCH.
