Peacefully with her family at her side on August 30, 2023, shortly after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Loving wife of the late Colin of 59 years and dear mother to Trevor (Catherine) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Neville (Lynn-Anne) of London, Ontario. Proud Nana of Drew, Liam, Rachel, Mitchell and Meagan. Sister to Marie (Late Bill) and Bob (Diane) all of England.
Ann was born on August 8,1933 in Sunderland, England and she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1968 where they initially settled in Saskatchewan. In 1971, the family relocated to Sault Ste. Marie which would be her home until her passing. Ann often spoke about her love for Sault Ste. Marie, the environment it provided for raising her family, and the close friends she made over the years.
Special thanks to the nurses and personal support workers at the F.J. Davey Home over the last few years and especially for the compassion shown to Ann during her short time in palliative care. At the request of the family, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the F.J. Davey Home, or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
