With heavy hearts and cherished memories we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, surrounded by her loving family at Algoma Residential Community Hospice, on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the age of 84.

Doreen is now reunited with her beloved husband Winston. Adored mother of Brenda (Ron), Marty (Nelda) and Sharon. Proud Gramma of Jeffery (Johna), Steven, Jared (Roxy), Lauren (Davis), Winston and Adrian. Loved great grandmother of Jaeden and John. Predeceased by her parents, Lorne and Anna Warmington. Dear sister of the late Mary Wierzbicki (late Gabe), late Fred, late Jim (Gerry), Bob (late Jackie), Phyllis Cote (late Rene), late Ron (Pearl), late Dorothy Lethbridge (late Butch) and Bruce (Faye). Sister-in-law of Pat (Bruce) Rundle.  Loved aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Doreen enjoyed travelling, camping, gardening, going to the casino, listening to country music and Elvis. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved to cheer on in music, theatre, academics and sports.

The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to Sault Area Hospital 3B nursing staff, Dr. Waqas, Dr. Buehner and a special thank you to the compassionate nurses and staff at ARCH.

At Doreen's request, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm, Fr. Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Memorial contributions (payable online or by cheque) to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Rimmer family.
