RIIPPI, Salme Kyllikki

On Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family after a courageous four year battle with cancer, in her 79th year. She has gone to be with the Lord. Beloved wife for 57 years of Toimi. Loving mother of Sinikka McCormack (John), Hilkka Zufelt (Jack), Sirpa Thibodeau (Barry), Seija Hyrsky (Bill). Dearest grandmother of Leila (Kevin), Andrew (Karrie), Chris, Aliisa, Trisha (Mike), Ashleigh (Shawn), Danica and Ryan. Great grandmother of Haley, Ella, Grace, Ava, Mia and Audrey. Predeceased by her parents Eliina and Jalmari Valimaki, five brothers and one sister in Finland. Survived by brother Paavo Valimaki (Helle) and sister Annikki Luoma and their families and friends in Finland. Dear aunt of Reima Riippi (Lisa and son Dylan). Special friend of many in the Sault. A private family funeral was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 11 am. Paul Niemi officiated. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.
