Peacefully after a courageous battle on Monday, January 9, 2006 surrounded by the family he loved so much at the FJ Davey Home at the age of 80. Devoted husband of Evelyn for 53 years. Loving father of Diane Zappavigna of Ottawa, Leane Bedard (Robert), Linda Richard (Ronald Boisclair), Gerard Richard (Angela Delarosbil) and René Richard. A wonderful Papa for Ferdinando, Francesco, Angelina, Jodi, Chad and Kelsey. Beloved brother of Fernando of Elliot Lake, Camile (Jeanne) of Montreal. Brother-in-law of Amanda Holmes, Claudette Holmes (Wilfred), Marie Blanche (George), Laurette Holmes (Raymond), Thérèse Holmes (Michel) all of Trois Rivierès, Quebec and Leo Holmes (Cecile) of Montreal, Quebec. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 11 am in the chapel with Rev. Norman Fortier officiating. Cremation to follow.
