Passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the age of 29. Loving mother of 3 year old, Noah LaForge – Rathbone. Beloved daughter of Ellen LaForge and Glenn Rathbone. Devoted granddaughter of the late Donna and Mel LaForge as well as the late Charles and Elaine Rathbone. Loving sister of Mathew Rathbone (Leslie) and Sara Rathbone. Beloved sister of Jason Gilbert and Jacob Gilbert.
Endearing niece and best friend to her aunt Melissa (Missy) Laforge as well as Uncle Dan LaForge (Barbara) and the late Carol LaForge Parniak. Special niece to Janice LaForge. Niece and friend of Linda Rathbone, the late Charles Rathbone and Leslie Rathbone. Kate was an adopted niece and dear friend of Janet Gignac (Rick). Her B.F.F’s were her childhood friends Elissa McLarty, Megan Poirier and Nicole Duguay. Katie had many cousins and friends she adored. Her cousin, Tyson Warner Smith who was also Noah’s Godfather a.k.a (GOD DADDY TYSON). Thanks to auntie Janice who helped Noah and Grandma in the early days.
Katie was many things to all who knew her. She was all my girl and best friend. Katie was relentless.
I am truly blessed to have her as my daughter for 29 years of my life and she will go on and on in Noah and grandma’s heart.
The day will come when we’ll be together in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to a trust fund for Noah would be greatly appreciated (payable only by cheque to Ellen LaForge or e-transferred to [email protected]). A celebration of Life with a short service will be held at a later date.
