Passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital
with his children by his side on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the age of 71 years.
Loving father of; Dale Ratelle (Anita), Amy Ratelle-Mackey (Steve Mackey). Adored
grandfather of David and Erin. Former husband to Judie Ratelle. Son of the late
Hormidas and the late Lucille Ratelle. Brother of; Henri (late Florence), late
Gerald, late Doreen (Armand Lavallee), Rita (late Ken O'Neil), Morris (Irene),
Lorance (Charles Rollins), John (Jean) and many nieces and nephews. Rene will be
truly missed by Betty (late Dale Donaghue), Kerry (Chris Beacock), Marnie (Bob
Gill). Will be deeply missed by Marilyn; Derek (Tammy), children Johnny and
Anthony; Cris (Patsy), children Richard, Jessica, Nicholas, Krystopher, Emily; Kari
(Richard). Will be sadly missed by many friends. Friends may call at the Northwood
Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday March 16, 2005 from
11:00 a.m. until time of funeral and committal service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m.
Cremation to follow. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke
Foundation, the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would
be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Jenkins and Dr. Maloney and the Nursing Staff
of the Stroke Unit, ICU and Palliative Care for their incredible support.
