With heartfelt sadness we regret to announce the sudden passing of Douglas Purvis in Sault Ste. Marie on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Devoted husband of Kathleen (nee Eadie). Loving father of Ivan (Joan), Kimberly (Terry) and the late Jimmy. Caring grandfather of Amy Jo Anderson (Lee), Jeff (Melanie), Daniel, Stephanie and Drew Hodgson. Great grandfather of 2. Predeceased by his parents Harold Purvis and Jean Buchanan and sister Joan Campbell (Dougal). Douglas is survived by his sister Haroldine Kinney (late James) and his brother Alex (Maxine). Douglas will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, a private service was held with cremation following.
