PURIFICATI, ALFREDO

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alfredo Purificati, at the Great Northern Nursing Center on Friday April 13, 2012, in his 91st year. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 67 years, Antonina, and his devoted children John Purificati (Isola), and Alfea Chanas (John). Much loved Nono to Johnny Jr. (Carmelina), Adrianne (Todd), Nicky, and Jason.  Great Nono to Marina and Melanie. Brother to Lina Melchiorre (late Michele) of Italy, and predeceased by his brother Carmelino (late Clara). Brother-in-law to Benny Deluca (Carole). Alfredo was uncle to Domenic,  Angelo, Wendy, Marisa, Olivia, and in Italy, Lorella, Stefano, and Gian Piero. Family and friends are invited to call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home and Cremation Center, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts., Monday April 16, 2012 from 6p.m.- 9p.m.. Funeral Mass, Tuesday April 17, 2012, 11:00a.m., at St. Gregory’s Church, 71 Estelle, with Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to Heart and Stroke or Canadian Diabetes would be appreciated. The Purificati family would like to express their gratitude to the Nurses and staff of the Complex Care at the Plummer Hospital, and the Great Northern Nursing Center for the care they gave to Alfredo while he was with them.
