Peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 12, 2009 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Andy (Sandy) and Don (Wanda). Dearly loved grandma of Marty, Kerri (Phaedon), Sarah (Al), Peter (Sara) and Cindy. Proud great grandma of Tristen, Nicholas, Trinity, Nevaeh and Xander. Katie was predeceased by her sisters Doris Olenuik (late Pete), Marie Malysh of Edmonton, Alberta, Violet Malysh of Cold Lake, Alberta and her brother Bill Malysh (late Mary) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear sister in law of the late Phyllis Korytko (late Steve), late Ann Symboluk (late Harry), late Mary Montgomery (late Neil), late Sophie Kidd (late Dave), late Andy (late Ann), late Steve (late Mary), late Mike (late Ida), late Sam and late Alex. Katie will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 11 am until time for service in the chapel at 1 pm. Mr. John Maccarone officiating.
