PRPICH, Frank (Prp)

With his family by his bedside, Frank passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on July 1, 2011, at the age of 86. Frank is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Wissell) of 63 years. Loving father of Brenda Shannon, Brian (Denise), Sharon Kirkpatrick (Neil) and Carol Thorogood (Ken). Grandfather of the late James Parniak and Nicole. Great grandfather of three. Ever loving and cherished grandfather and friend to Dawn Prpich (Tyler Belanger). Frank was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. He started working at Algoma Steel in 1942, beginning as a time checker and working his way to the accounting department. He retired after 40 years of service in 1982, and enjoyed his retirement for 29 years. Spending time at the cottage at Sand Bay with family and friends was an important part of Frank’s life. To the staff at Collegiate Heights, thank you for filling mom and dad’s new home with love and laughter. Sincere thanks to Precy Herenado, and the Health Care team who cared for dad in his home. Special thank you to the Health Care team at the Sault Area Hospital for giving our father dignity and peace in his final hours. A private family service was held in dad’s honour.
