Antonio Presta passed away with his family at his side, and ended a lifetime of labouring, loving and nurturing at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Maria Presta for 57 years. Dear son of the late Salvatore and Maria Presta and son-in-law of the late Salvatore and Paulina Scornaienchi. Dedicated father of Anne Marie Corbett (Don), Pauline Borland (John), Adele Gardiner, Lara Cesco (John) and Marilyn Currie (David). Dearest Nonno of; Christopher Corbett (Michelle), Natalie Corbett, Spencer Borland, Taylor Borland, Marlon Imasogie and Marco Cesco. Dearest fratello of the late Rafael (Giuseppina), Luciano, Giuseppe (late Kay), Alfredo (Anna Marie), Assunta and Adelina (Alfredo). Dear brother-in-law of the late Vincenzo Scornaienchi (Gina), Giuseppe Scornaienchi (Ernestina) and Alfonzo Scornaienchi (Lena). Dearest zio of many nephews and nieces. Antonio worked in many departments of Algoma Steel for 35 years until his retirement in 1987. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory's Church on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Victor Amadio officiating. Entombment at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
