POTTEKKAT, Pushpan (Push)

At the age of 54, on Monday February 23, 2004 at the Ottawa General Hospital due to complications from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Survived by his beloved wife Anitha, his beautiful children Ansa and Ashley who will hold true of his dreams. In India, Push is loved and cherished son of Dhamayanthi and Thamy, sisters Pushpa (Pratapan), Kairaly (Arumughan), Sinni (Umesh) and brother Suresh Babu (Shimi) and nieces and nephews. In Canada, Push has brothers Pav (Becky), Sudhi (Preethy) and nieces and nephews. As a celebrated chef, restauranteur, entrepreneur and as an accomplished public speaker Push brought joy and inspired people around him. Push was a leader and team builder with sincere interest in others with great passion for life. Visitation and funeral service was held in Scarborough on February 26. A memorial service will be held in Renfrew on February 29. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
