With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Porter (nee Kostenuik) at the Great Northern Nursing Centre on Thursday, May 31, 2007; Mary Porter in her 89th year. Dear wife of the late Lloyd Porter. Precious mother of Randy (Caroleen Lamothe) and Heather Porter (Verne Seiler) of Telkwa, B.C. Devoted Baba to Genevieve and Alex Porter, Hailie and Dalton Porter. Sister of the late John Kostenuik (late Heli), late George Kostenuik and the late Steve Kostenuik (Margaret). Sister-in-law of Eileen Thibert (Cliff). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special friend to Pauline, Fred, Pam, Briget and Ryan Bernier. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library or Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
