POKNO, Adele Marion - passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the F. J. Davey Home.
Beloved wife of the late William Pokno for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Debbie (Ken), Dave, Darlene (Rob), Linda and Frank (Peggy). Loving grandmother of Richard, Elizabeth, Marcey, Sandra, Sharlene, Matthew L., Mary, Matthew, Kyle and Marlene. Great-grandmother of 13. Sister of George and the late Julia, Marie, Tom, Isidore, Ernest, Theresa, Margaret, Albert and Alice. She will be greatly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Many people would remember Adele by her love of Bingo. She frequented the Garden River Bingo Hall, the Greenbelt Bingo Hall and the Batchewana Bingo Hall.
Adele's family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the loving and compassionate staff at the F. J. Davey Home, especially Lovedeep, Tracey, Pam, Olycia, Mike, Kim, Lindsay, Christian and Dr. Jarrett.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chape (492 Wellington Street East) on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:30 pm - 1:45 pm with a service to follow at 2 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque may be made to a charity of your choice in Adele's honour.
