June 11, 1947 - November 26, 2021

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peggy in the early morning of November 26,2021 at the age of 74 years.

Predeceased by her loving husband Carl. Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (nee Roche) Handley. Loving sister of the late David Handley. Cherished sister of Maureen Handley. Peggy is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Marc Lapointe, Ryan and Amanda Roche and children Jameson and Desmond, Dean and Thea Lapointe and children Keira and Aria, Joel Handley, Darren and Daina Handley and children Dylan and Diedra-Lynn, Saralyn and John Wilkinson and children Theo and Nora. Dear friend of Diane and Eldon Brown.

Peggy was dedicated to the children she cared for over the years through home daycare and schoolyard supervision. Some of these children have kept in touch with Peggy through the years. Her sense of humour and quick wit endeared her to the hearts of many. If you were looking for a straight answer, you could get it from Peggy.  One of her goals in life was to visit her Mothers homeland. Peggy never travelled outside Ontario, nevertheless, she bravely set off on her own to the Emerald Isle and visited aunts, uncles and cousins for a summer.  Peggy took great joy in caring for her little dogs. They were always by her side. Peggy will live on in our hearts and our memories as a sweet kind and fun loving girl. We sincerely thank her caregivers from the Sault Area Hospital, Light Haven Retirement Home, March of Dimes, CCAC and Maple View Extendicare.  A special thank you to Diane and Eldon Brown for their loving care and support.

Memorial donations made payable by cheque or online to the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. No service will be held as family will gather privately. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Plastino family.
