PINO VINCENZO “Vince” -  It is with profound sadness that we have to announce the passing of Vince as he was surrounded by his wife and family at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday March 5th, 2023.

He was a loving and devoted husband of Silvana Pino (nee Caicco). Cherished and admired father of Pasquale (Pat) (Rebecca) and Marcus (Laurel). Much adored Nono and forever missed by his loving granddaughters Sophia and Sydney and furry friend George. Vince is now reunited with his parents Pasquale and Carmela Pino.  Dear brother of the late Luisa Iacoe (late Michele) and Nick Pino (Rose). Son-in-Law of Alfredo and Maria Caicco.  Brother-in-Law of Ralph, Vince (Vicki), Lucy Mazzuca (Quinto), Roy, Dan (Anita), Gena, Sonia Cormier (Dan), and Frank. Vince will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Vince was a dedicated employee of Algoma Steel for over 32 years.

Vince was an avid walker and enjoyed his daily walk. He loved history, reading the newspaper and watching his favorite Boston Bruins and Italian Juventus Soccer Team. He loved spending time with his father-in-law making wine and sausage.

Vince did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone. Vince had incredible patience, and always made time to help others.

Family was always a priority for Vince. As an Italian immigrant to Canada, he provided for his family and passed on an exceptional work ethic to his children. Vince was very proud of his two sons who are Attorneys in the United States. Vince lit up when he was in the company of his grandchildren. He was so proud of each of them and always had a story to tell them.

Thank you to Dr. M. Jenkins, Dr. Booth, Dr. Buehner, Dr. Berg, Holly Febbraro Para-Med and Medigas. Thank you for the extraordinary care and compassion given to Vince by the Sault Area Hospital Emergency department and paramedics and the 3A nursing staff.

At Vince’s request a private family service was held and he was laid to rest. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Pino family.  Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (cpff.ca/donate) would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
