Our beloved mother and gramma began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.

Our mom is now reunited with her mother Yvonne, her brothers Lynn and Stacey, her nephew Daniel and her lifelong companion, our dad Fred. She was also soon followed by our Pa Dan Pine, who passed a short 4 hours after.

Mom was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by her children Trent, Tianna (Francis), and Tyrone, all of whom she was very proud of. She was exceptionally proud of her four grandsons Rylan, Isaiah, Trent Jr., and Jonny, who will miss her tremendously. Daughter of the late Dan and Yvonne (nee Souliere) Pine. Beloved sister of Lois (Pat), Lynne (sister-in-law), Candy, Todd (Natalie), Luanne, Holly (Jay), Tricia (Keith) and Trevor. Daughter-in-law to the late Irene and Lawrence Boissoneau. Sister-in-law to Carol Jones (Noel), Linda Lariviere, Gord Boissoneau (Ann Marie), late Barb Roach (late Jimmy), late John “Bud” Boissoneau, late Stella Sewell (late John), late Earl Boissoneau (Margie), late Larry Boissoneau (late Nancy), late Andy Boissoneau, late Albert Boissoneau (late Donna), late Joyce Howard, late Eddy Boissoneau (Elvina) and late Gerrald.

Mom was so proud to be a grandma and was so involved in the lives of her grandsons, whether it was playing marbles, dice or going to baseball and hockey games. Mom loved to brag about her children and grandchildren. Prior to her illness, she loved bingo, her Tim Hortons coffee or just going for rides. Mom had the biggest heart, she was very kind-hearted, generous and valued all of the friendships that she had. She loved all of her nieces and nephews, always made sure that treats were available and loved listening to music and dancing. We know she will be missed by her card friends.

We would like to acknowledge and give thanks to palliative care doctor Dr. Apostle, nurse Leah Nadon who went above and beyond in providing us with support, the Bayshore nurses, Home and Community Care, Maamwesying and Wellness Centre staff, and the doctors and nurses who provided care to her at the Sault Area Hospital. A special thanks to Roberta Rowe and Neva Kelly for the exceptional care that they provided to Maureen and to her dear friend Donna McCreight who selflessly gave her time to provide care and for her ongoing and continued support to our entire family. We are extremely appreciative and will be forever grateful.

At mom's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions (by cheque or online) to A.R.C.H. would be greatly appreciated.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Pine family.
