She was dearly loved by all her nieces and nephews and her “Birch Island” family.

Louise loved her family first and foremost. She enjoyed cooking and having family meals for her children and grand-children. Her kindness and compassion for those around her never wavered and those that were lucky enough to know her could feel that. She carried on her mothers custom of feeding everyone who showed up for dinner, and everyone especially loved Louise’s homemade bread. Louise’s hobbies in early years included fishing, berry picking and five pin bowling. Her first language was Anishinaabemowin and she enjoyed visiting her brothers and sisters in the language and playing cards. Also, Louise enjoyed crossword puzzles, sudoku, and jigsaw puzzles while watching her favorite tv shows.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Pine family.
