After a valiant and courageous battle with cancer, on September 18, 2011. He is survived by Betty, his beloved wife of 53 years. Much loved father of Dianne Rakowski (Michael), Sherry Laue, Nanci Paddon (David) and Marc Piffero (Rhonda). Dear friend of Glenda Bidigare. Grandfather of 7. Also survived by sisters Lucy Piffero, Irene and husband Joe Laporte and sister-in-law Florine Piffero. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 742 Third Line East, on Monday September 26th at 7:00p.m. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation for the magnificent care given to our husband and father, by the ARCH staff, Red Cross Personnel Care Workers, and our special visiting nurses. A warm and special thanks to all of our friends who supported Ernie and our family over the last couple of months with their wonderful meals, companionship, cards, flowers and loving encouragement.
