1923 - 2006 - Peacefully, Walter passed away at home with his ever loving wife Cecylia, daughter Krisha (Greg) and son Henry (Diane) at his side. As a young man, Walter left Poland and after stops in Germany, Scotland and England he arrived in Sault Ste. Marie (1950). After finding work, he returned to Poland for his true love, and together they began a new life. During his lifetime, Walter worked at the Paper Mill for 32 years, took pleasure in taking his grandchildren Andrew, Adam, Alexei, Ryan and his "kitty" - Katie for walks along the river and to the mall. Walter is survived by his brother Leszek Wieniecki and sister Krysia Zagorska and predeceased by Halina Markewiecz, Irene Pietrzakowski and Zdzichu Pietrzak. Walter will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Poland. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Andrew Bobola Parish on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Krzysztof Niewinski officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Andrew Bobola Church or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
