(October 5, 1931 - April 12, 2007) Walter Piche passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 75 years. Dear son of the late Mary (Piche) Naslovar and the late Thomas Piche. Step-son of the late Matthew Naslovar. Dear brother of Olga McGarry (Piche), Stella Piche, Ivan Naslovar and Ray Naslovar. Uncle and great uncle to many nephews and nieces. Friend and neighbour to many. He will be remembered for his stories of living and working in Alert Bay, Northwest Territories during the 1960's and early 70's, later working for United Breeders in the local farm industry and his enjoyment of many activities including photography, gardening, picking blueberries and traveling across Canada to visit friends. He was an avid reader and was always interested in learning and sharing his knowledge with others. Thank you to all who sent cards, gifts and wishes during his stay in the hospital and to the SAH nursing and medical staff for all their care. At Walter's request a memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Watch Tower World Wide Service at the Kingdom Hall would be appreciated.
