Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Don Petrie suddently passed away at the age of 77 after a brief illness in the Elliot Lake Hospital on Wenesday, November 25th, 2009. Don worked for Algoma Steel as a welder for over 29 years before taking his retirement. At Don's request he has been cremated and no service will be held. Don is suvived by his two sons, Jerry (Rhea Larente) from Sault Ste. Marie and George (Cindy Kearns) from Tweed. He is also survived by three grandsons, Brian, Robert and Thomas. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to J.L. Pomerleau with the Alternative Funeral Services in Elliot Lake.
