Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 60. Loving husband of Nicole Patrick (nee Verreault) for 34 years. Cherished father of Caitlyn Patrick (Josh), Sean Patrick (Natasha) and his Bella Girl. Son of Allan Patrick (Donna) and the late Rose Marie Duncan (Matthew). Special big brother of Debra Matthews (Barry), Brenda Pulente (Victor), Sandra Rylatt (Paul) and Tommie Baker (Todd). Son-in-law of the late Rodrique Verreault and the late Diane Verreault. Brother-in-law of David Verreault. Adored uncle of many nieces and nephews. Loved by many cousins and friends. Former drummer for the 49th Regiment. Steven will always be remembered for his infectious laughter and smile, playful nature, and his love of the Toronto Maple Leafs. From dressing up as Santa Claus to his impressions of Shrek, he always knew how to make people laugh. Though we mourn his loss, we will celebrate each Canada Day hereafter in his honour, knowing that he’s smiling down on us and celebrating with us. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
