In Loving Memory of Jerry (Jerko, Jure) Pandzic

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Pandzic, a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away in the spot he loved, admiring the retirement dream home he and his beloved wife of 41 years, and partner in adventure and hard work, Maralyn, built together. Jerry was the perfect husband, loving, encouraging, and more supportive than any spouse could ever dream off.  He was one of a kind.  Jerry's love extended deeply to his sons, Kyle, Michael, and Daniel, and his daughter (in-law) Mandy, forming a close-knit family bound by affection and shared experiences.  He was so proud of his boys and his daughter Mandy, and their accomplishments, especially the wonderful parents, partners, and individuals they have become.  His joy further blossomed through his amazing grandchildren, Maddison, Mackenzie, Kayden, and Sawyer, each a precious source of happiness that he could not get enough of.  He was a loving brother to the late Kathy Pandzic and brother Anthony Pandzic whose bond grew stronger with time. He was brother-in-law to many hard to describe wonderful and amazing individuals that he so appreciated, always there no matter what, at the drop of hat to lend a hand, support, and share in celebrations throughout Jerry's wonderful life, including Kathy and Jerry Marshall, Dennis Quinn, Susan and Vasco Dias, and Lorraine and Michael Zalewski.  Jerry's legacy is interwoven with the laughter, stories, and love exchanged within this cherished family circle, including his nieces and nephews Sarah (Dennis) who was his awesome co-rebel, John (Andrea), Brittany (Tyler) who he loved like a daughter, Cory, Ryan (Hannah), Tony Pandzik Jr., Angela (Collin), and Stephen.  He cherished Katlin, Natasha and Summer Mcdonough as his own children and had a special place in his heart for them. His comforting presence, coupled with an ability to listen and offer sound advice, made him a pillar of support for those seeking guidance. Jerry seemed to always have the answers, making him not just a father and grandfather, but a trusted confidant.

Jerry loved teasing and playing tricks on those he loved.  In times of joy or sorrow, Jerry was a pillar of support, always ready with a comforting word or a helping hand, and a spirit that touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His contributions to those in need were invaluable, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of calling him a mentor, friend, or family member.  His passion and his creativity for building his family homes and playgrounds, his drive and hard work brought him joy, and he was such an inspiration to those around him and will leave an indelible mark on our lives.  As we mourn the loss of Jerry, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to be better, kinder, and more compassionate.

Thank you to the Goulais River First Responders, the Sault Ste. Marie Paramedics, the OPP and Mark and Christina from O'Sullivan Funeral Home for all the compassion given to us during this time.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will take place at a later date as per Jerry's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Jerry's favorite charity, Sick Kids Hospital, in Jerry's name. Payable by cheque.

May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth of familial love that he so treasured.
