PALANYCHKA, Shannon Florence Hamilton Engen

(September 15th, 1948 - September 22nd, 2009) It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing at the Sault Area Hospital-General Site of Shannon on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009 at the age of 61, with her husband Norman (Best friend, Soul mate, and love
of her life) of more than 43 years, at her side. Loving mother and grandmother of daughter Cassandra Urban (Paul) and granddaughter Aurora; son Quentin and grandchildren Jayden, Raven, and Dalin. Shannon is predeceased
by her mother Marianne Ruth Hamilton, brother Shaughn and sisters Shelley and Sheilaugh. Survived by brother-in-law Mike Palanychka, Leonard Palanychka and Ivan Hearn and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to all the wonderful medical staff that had tended and cared for Shannon over the years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from noon to 2 p.m. at Northwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758). Memorial Service to be held in the chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m., Mrs. Helen Smith officiating, with a luncheon to follow in the lower level. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations could be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of
your choice. She will be greatly missed but will remain in all of our hearts forever.
