It is with great sadness, the family of Ann Palahnuk (nee Butt) announce the passing of our beloved mother on January 6, 2021, in Kingston, ON.
Born on May 24, 1942 and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, she lived the past 10 years in the Kingston area. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents, Herbert and Mona Butt as well as her brother Michael.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Susan (John) and Jane (Guy) as well as grandchildren, Rebecca, Miranda (Josh), Sean and Vanessa. She also is survived by 4 great grandchildren and her loving sister Joan and sister-in-law Jeanine.
She was well known in the Sault Ste. Marie area, having worked for many years at General Insurance as well as Algoma University.
At her request there will be no funeral service. Cremation and private celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
