The family announces the death of Robert Ormiston at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Husband of Doris. Father of Sandra (Jim Huyck) of Dixon, Illinois, Margaret of Sault Ste. Marie and Marilyn Wannamaker (David) of Calgary, Alberta. Grandfather of Jeremy, Jasmine, Travis, Kendra, Erin and Ben. Great grandfather of Isabelle and Christopher. He is survived by a sister, Margaret and brothers, Alec and George of Scotland and a brother-in-law, Arnel Pattemore of Smiths Falls. Robert was a long time employee of Algoma Steel and owner of Dunn's Authors. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2 pm. Reception will take place immediately following the funeral service at the Arthur Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Central United Church or a charity of your choice.
