Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, at the Sault Area Hospital (General Site) on Saturday July 25, 2009, at the age of 82 years young. Beloved husband for 62 years and best friend of Rose-Marie (nee Bumbacco). Much loved and cherished father of Donna (Duncan Watson), Leonard (Caroline), Christine Teresinski (Julie) and David (late Doreen). Grandfather of Kimberly, Stacy (Todd), Tyler-Jay (Lindsay), Jesse (Carrie) and Wesley; great-grandfather of Kambreya-Rose, Colin, Jackson, Evan, Chelsey-Anne and Baby Jack. Son of the late Nikifor and Helena Ontonovich. Son-in-law of the late Leonard and Mary Bumbacco (nee Gardi). Step-brother of Tonka (late Marian Szczepaniak); predeceased by brothers Danny, Nick (Betty) and sisters Mary (Bill O'Donnell) and Jennie (Frank Hinchcliffe). Brother-in-law of Theresa (Archie Stocco), Joseph Bumbacco (Nancy) and Carol (Daniel Fabbro). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At the request of the deceased a private Service of Remembrance was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. We would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital, 3rd Floor Nursing Staff, Critical Care Staff, Dr. Allen and much appreciation and thanks to Dr. Dan Trottier, (Montfort Hospital) Ottawa, ON for his professional and personal care and unconditional compassion shown to our family.
