Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 20, 2008 to meet his beloved wife, Veronica (nee Brennan). Ever loving father of Patty Barkley (Bill), Chris (Marlene) and Tim (Paulette). Exceptional Pappa of Billy (Terri), Linda (Rick), Laura (Rod), Ruthy (Adam), Danny (Amanda), Shannon and Hélène. Great Pappa to Casandra, Dustin, Rilley, Lily, Katelyn, Chloe and Phoebe. Son of the late Patrick and Beatrice O’Brien. Sadly missed by his sisters, Verdun Begg (late Bob), Maurita Rintoul (late Albert) (late Andy) and predeceased by Hélène MacDonald (John), Sheila Parkin (Jim) and Jim (Gwen). Brother-in-law of Thelma McFarling (late Yvan), Leonard Brennan (late Diane), late Pearl Brooks (Fred) and predeceased by Bessie Brennan, Oliver & Simone Brennan, Tim & Micky Brennan, Maureen & Bill McFarling and Theresa Brennan. Dad will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and long time neighbours. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, January 25, 2008 from 9 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church at 1 pm. Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jerome’s Building Fund or the Group Health Centre Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.
