On July 28th an amazing man left us at the glorious age of 103 to be with his late wife and soul mate Mary. George was a loving Uncle to Donald (Janet) Norman, Mary (also her godfather) (John), Great Uncle to Andrew (Jennifer), and Stephanie MacDonald. Born in England George came to Canada in 1913. He was a Chief Accountant with the Canadian National Railway, a Major in the army, a member of the Victoria Rifles and a veteran of the Second World War. He was President of the Royal Commonwealth Society and recipient of the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal. George was a true gentleman and friend to many at Collegiate Heights, the Finnish Rest Home and the Ministries that serve them. We will all remember his words "God bless you caregiver". A funeral service and interment has taken place in Toronto.
