Norma E. Beaudoin

92, of Benton Harbor went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2011, in South Haven. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 1053 E. Napier, Benton Harbor, with Rev. Bill Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores, Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Coloma Senior Center. Messages of condolence may be made to www.florin.net. Norma was born on May 31, 1919, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to Norman and Enie Sherwood. Norma married Joseph Beaudoin, and together they had two children, Denise and Gerald. She was a longtime member of the Fairplain Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor. Norma enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, playing cards, gardening and taking long road trips particularly to Canada and to Arizona. She had a wonderful sence of humor and was always available to help those in need. Most of all, Norma cherished time spent with her family and friends. Norma is survived by her children, Denise Ann Beaudoin of Benton Harbor and Gerald (Lou An) Beaudoin of Watervliet; granddaughters Michelle (late Scott) Agnew, Tiffanie (Maurice) Smith and Melissa Beaudoin; great-grandsons, Maurice and Johnny Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Beaudoin of Detroit; brother, Norman (Darlene) Sherwood; sister, Lois (Lynn) Archibald; sister-in-law, Barbara Sherwood, all of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 2004 and by her siblings, Margaret Sherwood, Lloyd (Mildred) Sherwood, Leona (Mel) Robinson, Frank Beaudoin, Bruce Sherwood and Marjorie Parr.
