NIRKKOLA, Renee Lillian (July 15, 1972 - December 24, 2023) - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Renee at her home at the age of 51.
Loving and devoted mother of Norman, Dylan, Jordy and Desiree Doyon (Taylor). The best grandma of Laylah, Avery, Alivia and Christian. Daughter of Hank and Delores Nirkkola. Dear sister of Kristie (Andre), Dana (Mike Tuomela) and Eric (Jessica). Special aunt of Shanelle (Enrico), Celeste, Justin, Tyson, Elli, Adelaide and Tahvo. She will be fondly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Renee will be remembered for her creativity through her many artistic talents. She loved spending time at camp in Batchawana Bay. She was extremely proud of her Metis heritage and commitment to her work. She was the best mom, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions by cheque or online to CAMH: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health or Epilepsy Canada would be greatly appreciated.
