Suddenly, at his home, on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, Arvo Nirkkola of Strathroy in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Nirkkola (McLean) for 46 years. Loving father of Lorie (Miguel) Godinez of Brampton, Kevin (Lisa) Nirkkola of Strathroy and grandfather of Joshua Nirkkola, Zachary Clarke, Brigitte and Michelle Godinez. Dear brother of Gertrude Kesti, Aino (Armas) Hautala, Annie (Lauri) Nenonen all of Sault Ste. Marie. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Toivo (late Nora), Tauno (Nora) and Taito (late Eileen) and his sister (late Ellie O'Kapiec). Funeral was held on Friday, April 21, 2006, Pastor Robert G. Esson officiated. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Calvary Pentecostal Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Arvo.
