It is with great sadness that the family of John Alexander Nicolson announce his passing into the Savior's arms on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 80.
Soulmate and much loved husband of Susan (nee Fleming). Beloved father of John Christopher (Allison) of Duluth, MN and Cynthia Jane Schaafsma (Mark) of St. Joseph Island. Dearest Papa of Kaitlin Schaumburg (Zach and great granddaughter Naomi) of Duluth, MN, Benjamin (Kaylor) of Grand Marais, MN, Aaron Nicolson, Tristan and Andrew Schaafsma. Son of the late J. Fraser (1979) and Marian G. Nicolson (1988). Dear brother of Shirley Tucker (Bill) of Desbarats. Thanks to the nurses and staff of Maple View for all of their love and care. Cremation to take place. Friends are invited to visit the St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 11 am until time of memorial service at 1 pm. Rev. Adrian Collins officiating.
