At the F.J. Davey Nursing Home, Sault Ste. Marie on Friday February 17th 2012 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Clarence Newell (1997). Loving mother of Daphne Newell (Jack Horsepool), Douglas (Manuela) Newell, Rick (Lynda) Newell, Sherri (Rick) Lortie, Ken and Keith Newell. Loved grandma of Scott, Chris (Val), Jeff, Steven, Johanna, Lauren (Tyson), Michael, Sarah (Mark), Jonathan (Jina), Andrew (Ashley), Jason (Christine), Bryce (Kathryn), Lilly (Bruce), Jeremy (Kim), Ryan (Emma), sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Joan (late Wilf) Barbour, Mildred (John) Smith, Dorothy Snyder and sister-in-law of Wesley Stanley. Evelyn was an active member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and The Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The family will receive their friends at the Hammond-Davidson Funeral Home, 21 Wintemute Street, Fort Erie on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 32 Idylewylde Place, Fort Erie on Thursday February 23rd at 2:00 p.m (visitation from 1:00 p.m.) with the Reverend Mark Gladding officiating Interment at McAffee Cemetery, Fort Erie.
