With heavy hearts we announce that Ralph passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Matthews Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn. Dear father of Rhonda of the Sault Ste. Marie and Kevin of Toronto. Son of the late Hector and Mary. Loving brother of Bob (late Rose) (friend Linda), Betty Cruickshank (Jim), Nancy Hache (Francis), Charlie (friend Jean) and Dana Stevens (Wilfred). Brother-in-law of Jim Barton (Rose), Maxine Pollock (Bob) and Carrie Blatter (Pete). Son in law of the late Maurice and Marie Barton. Dear companion of the late Verna MacDonald and special friend of the MacDonald family. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Right to the very end, Ralph kept his wit and sense of humour and his role as supervisor. All family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, July 17, 2010 for a graveside service at “The Mountain” (Maple Grove) Cemetery at 11 am followed immediately by a reception at the Richards Landing Legion. Mr. Bruce Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Joseph Island Lions Club or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated.
