Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Ontario Finnish Rest
Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of
Gertrud for 56 years. Loving father of Gerhard, Cornelia (Connie) Nehr
(Robert Kuley) and Sonja Nehr-Kanet (Keith Kanet). Cherished and adored Opa
(Grandfather) of Alexander Kanet. Brother of Marta Doerre (late Adolf), Theo
Nehr (Elfriede), Walter Nehr (Waltraut) and the late Karl Nehr (late
Walburga) in Germany. Hans will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews
and his many friends. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942
Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 11:00 a.m.
until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jouko
Jyrkama officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations
made to the Sault Area Hospital, Ontario Finnish Rest Home Association or
Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to
the all the wonderful staff at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home and the Sault
Area Hospital (Plummer Complex Care Unit).
