Peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday December 31, 2008 in her 73rd year. Valerie is survived by her loving husband Giovanni (Giani) of 53 years. Loving devoted mother of the late Secondo Nardo, Julie and Donald McMillan, Veronica Dorricott and Russell Matthews, Danny & Kim Nardo, John & Lisa Nardo. Proud Grandmother of Joshua & Matthew McMillan, Jessica, Jonathon & Kathryn Dorricott, Ali & Daniel Nardo and Ellyse Nardo, Alicia and Brandon Matthews. Great Grandmother of Elijah Dorricott. Daughter of the late Giosue and Juliet Maniacco (nee Alessio). Sister of Palmer and Donna Maniacco (late Denise), Rosalie Lapossie (late Robert), Jerry & Judy Maniacco, Jimmy Maniacco, Sandy and Andy Pruce. Proud Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
