MURPHY, JOHN M.

Suddenly, on Friday October 3, 2008, at Sault Area Hospital ( General), John M. Murphy passed away with his family by his side. “Big John” will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Gladys (nee Corbier) Murphy, his daughters; Dawn Cloutier (Paul Fish), Ellen Manton (Keith), Ann Murphy, Kelly Trainor (Jim) and the late Gail Krajewski (late Vic). Proud grandfather of Andrea and Christopher (Sophie) Cloutier, Elizabeth Slute (Robert), Victoria Hogenkamp (John), John Manton (Brooke) and Tracy Manton, Thomas and Kathryn Trainor. Great grandfather of Kelsey Rodgers and Angela Manton, Dear brother of Em Harrington (Roy), Wilma Deschamp (late Clarence and late Wallace Murphy). John was brother in law to Mary and Floyd Jenkins, David and Ann Corbier, the late Diane and Willard Contois, late Allen (Joan), late Daniel ,late Garnet , late Fred (Fay) and the late Donald(Anne) Corbier. He will be missed by his Godson, Les Contois. John leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved in his own special way. Funeral Services took place Sunday October 6th at O’Sullivan Donnelly Chapel with Rev. Eric Pannike officiating. Cremation will be followed by interment in his home town of Midland Ontario at a later date. Grandpa you will be sadly missed. You were the most generous and loving person.
