MORRISON, Marvin Garner Isaac

Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the age of 69. Much loved husband and best friend of Eileen Morrison (DeLuca) and the late Marianne Morrison. Wonderful father of Marny Westlake (Mitch), Mark Morrison (Monica). Beloved brother of Wanda Hutchinson (George), Linda Watson (Frank), Mary-Helen Grant (Jim), Reneé Steuer (Peter), Susan Cook (Leslie). Special brother-in-law of Anna Tonello and Alfred DeLuca. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by many friends. Marvin worked at Algoma Steel most of his years as a respected foreman. He took great pride in his work and would never expect his men to do anything he would not do. After 37 years on May 1, 1997 he retired giving himself a lot more time to spend with his family, in his gardens and keeping the yard in immaculate condition. A friend to all who met him, Marvin was loved by all who knew him. Through all of his trials and tribulations Marvin maintained an unfailing optimism and an unquenchable thirst for life. A better fight could not have been fought. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral Service from Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11 am. Pastor Jouko Jyrkama officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
