Sadly passed away at ARCH Hospice following a long courageous battle with cancer on August 21, 2021 with her family by her side.
As a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Eugenia leaves behind her husband of 53 years (Martial) of Sault Ste. Marie. Loving mother of Kelly (Marty Pszeniczny) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Kim (Marc Boudreau) of Toronto. Proud Nana of Stephen and Adam.
Eugenia cherished family time, and took pride in preparing food for her family. Meal times were precious to her. She also enjoyed spending sunny days playing golf with her family and bingo with her friends.
Eugenia’s family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped care for her and supported her on her journey, especially the kind and caring staff at Collegiate Heights Retirement Home, her long-time home-care nurse Brandi, and the dedicated medical staff at Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic. A special thank you to Dr. Booth whose guidance through the palliative care process over the last several years was truly appreciated.
And finally, to the amazing staff at ARCH Hospice, who got to know and care for Eugenia and provided her comfort; your compassion and dedication will never be forgotten.
Eugenia fought a valiant fight and had a very strong will to live as those who knew her would agree. She is our hero. Her strength is her legacy.
As per Eugenia’s wishes there will be a private family service. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel.
