We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Gramma and Great Gramma Mary, at the FJ Davey Home on October 21, 2023, in her 94th year with family by her side.

Loving mother of Lorrie Lammers (John), Randy Moore (Lisa), Lisa Tomie (Jerry) and Patti Moore (Tyler Earp).  Beloved Gramma of Christopher and Trevor Lammers, Tyler Tomie (Jenna), Deanna Burmaster (Travis), Ashley Moore (Jake Cruise), Victoria and Amy Moore, Max Earp and Great Gramma of Lyla Tomie. Loving wife of the late Patrick (Pat, PJ) Moore.  Daughter of the late Elisa (Facca) and Gildo (Ermenegildo) Censio.  Beloved sister of the late Rena and late Leo Censio. Daughter-in-law of the late Ida Marie Smith and late Jack Moore. Sister-in-law of the late Mike Moore (late Janet), and the late Jack Moore (Connie). Mary will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Sault Ste Marie on February 7, 1930, and was a part of the West End (James St) community.  She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and on the executive of their CWL. She volunteered for the Cancer Society and the soup kitchen.  She was a huge fan and longtime season ticket holder, cheering on the Soo Greyhounds. Mary also enjoyed all of the activities and many day trips with the Seniors Drop-in Center.

Mary worked at James St. Market (Ciotti's), then in the Deli at Dominion (formally A&P) in the Churchill Plaza for many years. Family always came first for Mary, especially the love of her grandchildren. Family gatherings were always loud and joyful, with a fresh pot of sauce and meatballs waiting on the stove. She was known for her baking, especially chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren and the best butter tarts. Mary also enjoyed going on many adventures (visiting the horses, walks with the dogs, going for ice cream) with her granddaughter Deanna.

The family would like to thank the FJ Davey Home, especially Cedar 1, for the loving care they provided Mom over the last years of her life. And also, to Kylie Morgan, for her many visits, which always made Mom smile.

Heartfelt thanks to our sister, Lisa, for always making sure that Mom was taken care of and for bringing her dog Axle to visit, which always brought mom and the other residents such joy.

Memorial contributions made to the Canadian Cancer Society, a charity of your choice or paying an act of kindness forward would be appreciated by her family.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the family may be left at www.osullivanfuneralhome.com
